Spiritual Matters in the Kingdom of God Joseph Ho, February 12th, 2009 Most Christians are highly ignorant of spiritual matters in the Kingdom of God. They do not understand about spiritual matters, and therefore when it comes to making and deciding what to do, they revert back to their own human understanding. These laws of God which has been set can not be changed for anyone no matter who they are. It just does not get nullified because we think otherwise. Just because we think a thing can not be true will not make it false. What is eternal can not be moved by any human justifications. No one can change a fact by denouncing it. That is why the Lord God said, I AM WHAT I AM, and I AM THAT I AM. Only he can say something like that. A sovereign God who is not subjected to any circumstances in the world or universe is called a Supreme Being, therefore the name, “Most High God”. What you are about to hear is not common wisdom, its Spiritual knowledge. Knowledge which only a handful of people on this earth are aware of and is a privilege information given to a few chosen ones of God and the devil. The devil also operates in this Spiritual realm. That is how they cast spells and charms to manipulate the natural and physical world for its evil purposes. The bible says, in 1 Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” There are a number of scriptures that mention the Kingdom of God one such verse is, in Mark 10:15, “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” The kingdom of God is given to some people, as in Luke 8:10, “And he said, unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.” Jesus was talking about the power in the Spiritual realm of God’s dominion. He was talking about the spiritual powers not of this earth, where healing, miracles, and resurrection take place. This Spiritual realm is as real as it gets. And remember that the physical world was created out of the unseen things. So certain things which belong to the demonic world must not be found in the house of a devote Christian. For by doing so, we incur the wrath of God on us, for God said he is a jealous God, and he will not tolerate Spiritual Adultery in any form. We can not have objects of devotion used in the worship of other gods in our house. When we have those objects which offend our God, we can not expect to move in victory because god can not bless an adulterer. In the book of Joshua, when the Israelite fought the Ai, they were defeated by the Amorites when they tried to take the city. Why did they fail to win the war? The reason given by God to Joshua can be found in Joshua 7:10-11, “10 The LORD said to Joshua, "Stand up! What are you doing down on your face? 11 Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.” Which covenant has Israel violated? This covenant is none other than that which is written in the Book of Exodus, Exodus 20:4-5, “4 You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,” Devoted things are things which are devoted to the worship of Spiritual Beings, demons, angels, gods and God. Such things are dedicated things and in themselves demonic charms have been cast upon them and they bring curse into anyone house who is a Christian. That curse is the wrath of God. For our God can not tolerate being in the same place as the devil, holiness can not live with evil, as light can not be with darkness. The Orient people have a hard time with this covenant because they tend to view cultural objects as antiques and collectors items of value. Most of the Eastern Culture contains objects of spiritual worship and they are not antiques they are spiritual objects dedicated to the worship of gods or demons, and the devil himself. But for the Western people they find such objects fascinating because they are very highly crafted by men with exceptional skills, and Westerners bring them hope as objects of arts. The devil is also a great creator of highly skilled objects of devotion. You can invite the devil home when you bring such objects into your house. Then your peace is taken from you. If you love and fear God, you will never want to bring an accursed object into the house of God. Your house becomes the house of God immediately when you become baptized in water. In the course of my ministry, I have seen this wrath coming upon the people of God. Those who are not serious Christians but compromiser who constantly justify their own actions by the dilution of God’s sovereign command become ensnared but this curse. This is a story I have to tell, for God showed me what he will do to someone who does not walk in the ways of the Lord and it also shows that God meant every word he says in the bible and will not change for anyone. The story is about an old lady, she is a Methodist Christian of many years and she lives with her sister. I went one day to her house in the morning very early that is, I went there with my friend who is a renovator of houses, and I overspent my night at his place, so I ended up with him visiting this lady. She is about 60 years old. When I came into her house, she was limping on her right leg. Later on, I saw an object, a lamp stand which is a statue of one of the eight immortals god of the Chinese culture. His name is “Iron Cripple Lee”, and he was crippled on his right leg and he walks with a crutch, this statue of him is a lamp stand about 2 feet tall. I was immediately reminded of God being a jealous God and will not tolerate another god in the house of his people, but I kept quiet for a while. The next thing that happened sends thrills down my spine, I saw her younger sister and observed that she is also having leg problems on her right leg and it struck me that this can not be a coincidence. So the Lord God prompted me to tell this woman the significance of this object symbol, but she would not hear of it. She called me a charismatic enthusiast and a fanatical superstitious man and derided all my words to her. So I was naturally angered by the Lord and by her response. I thought that when I do a good thing I will be rewarded but I was persecuted for the truth and called a man of nonsense. The wisdom of God became nonsense compared to her understanding of what this statue is all about. But to be fair to her, that statue was a gift from her father as an inheritance and so it contains sentimental value to her and it was something she will never part with being filial and all that oriental traditions of man; and so goes the curse of her father that passes down the family line and will span 3 to 4 generations as spoken in Deuteronomy 28. Then, I left that place for good shaking the dust under my feet. As I seek the Lord that morning, I was given this verse, Jeremiah 35:15, “15 Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you. They said, "Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and reform your actions; do not follow other gods to serve them. Then you will live in the land I have given to you and your fathers." But you have not paid attention or listened to me.” So I felt the confirmation that I had given the truth to them and God has affirmed my works. As servants of God, we must remember not to seek the glory of being right but the joy of setting captives free instead. This happens in the New Testament time, it happened to me in 2006, so we are to be careful to obey the word of God. God will hold us accountable to his covenant. As we proclaimed to be Christians, God will require of us to follow his laws, and that is not an obsolete law. It is still in effect and no innovative or creative preaching can change the word of God. God is the one who exercises his laws and the devil can do unto you what God said will happen to the one who violates his laws. This is proven, why I say that? It is proven that born again Christians are still suffering from sin and they can have terminal diseases, pains, and many grieves in their lives because they were not obedient to the Word of God. Once saved is not always saved and you need to repent constantly, that is what is meant when Jesus washes the feet of his disciple. Feet gets dirty when we walk so we have to clean it everyday, you can not bath with water once and for all to be clean everyday. No you have to take a bath everyday, so is the same with confessing our sins. For the wages of sin is still death. What does grace covers, you have to be sure and please don’t assume anything until you confirm with God? When you buy an insurance plan, please read the fine print what it covers don’t assume what it will do when it does not say so. Jesus said if you love me do what I say and if you love me practice what I teach. If you love me obey my teachings, and my father, mother, brother and sisters are the ones who obey and do the will of God. In the bible God said in Mark 3:35, “For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.” And in John 9:31, “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.” Spiritual things belong to the spiritual men who understands spiritual matters because it is given unto them to understand, as Jesus said to Simon in Matthew 16:17, “ 17Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.” God Bless you all, and should you need to learn more and have a deeper walk with God, please check out my website at www.kingscepter.com, or email to me with your questions at prophet3333@yahoo.com.
